What better fun than to watch four of the funniest Jewelry Heist Comedies? This week’s film is The Hot Rock. A jewel thief/ex-con (Robert Redford) is hired to pinch a priceless African diamond from a New York City museum. To help pull off the heist, he drafts a safecracker, a wheelman and an explosives expert, but the job gets complicated after a string of missteps and mishaps. Zero Mostel shines as a slimy lawyer. Directed by Peter Yates. 1972; 97 minutes.
