Focus on Film: Remember the Titans

Focus on Film is showing four football movies in January to get ready for the Super Bowl.  This week’s film is Remember the Titans. It is 1971, and the people of Alexandria, Virginia, are not pleased when African American Herman Boone (Denzel Washington) is given the nod to head a newly integrated football team. However, as the season progresses, their contentious attitudes begin to change. The all-star cast is directed by Boaz Yakin. 2000; 114 minutes.
