Focus on Film is showing four football movies in January to get ready for the Super Bowl.  This week’s film is Knute Rockne All-American. Coach Knute Rockne (Pat O’Brien) revolutionizes college football with strategies that establish Notre Dame’s team as a powerhouse in this classic sports biopic of a great coach and man. Beyond leading the team to victory year after year, Rockne molds the players into honorable adults. Ronald Reagan co-stars as George Gipp. Directed by Lloyd Bacon. 1940; 97 minutes.
