The Free and Equal Foundation is organizing a presidential candidate debate at the University Club of Chicago on October 23rd. The six major presidential candidates have been invited to participate.
The following candidates have confirmed their participation:
· Gary Johnson, Libertarian Party
· Jill Stein, Green Party
· Virgil Goode, Constitution Party
· Rocky Anderson, Justice Party
Barrack Obama and Mitt Romney have not confirmed.
This historic debate will include third party candidates from all sides of the political spectrum from left to right.
“The current American political system is very anti-democratic,” Napa County Green Party co-coordinator Alex Shantz said. “Third party candidates are often excluded from the ballot, the debates, and the media. In a democracy, all serious candidates should be included in the political process. Americans deserve to have choices.”
Napa Valley College Campus Greens and the Napa County Green Party will be hosting a free screening of the debate in the community at Slack Collective Studios & Art Gallery at 7:00 PM. For more information visit http://freeandequal.org/. Everyone is welcome.
