Local mixed-media artist Maridee Hays will display her paintings throughout January at the Napa Main Library, 580 Coombs Street in Napa. Patrons can meet Ms. Hays at a reception on Friday, January 11. The reception includes refreshments and a presentation by the artist at 6:30 p.m. This is a free event.Ms. Hays has lived and worked in the Napa Valley for the past 30 years. She has an interdisciplinary background in art and has worked with drawing and painting on paper, canvas, ostrich eggs and silk, as well as explored mixed media and printmaking. She has studied at CSU Sacramento, completed graduate courses at CSU San Francisco with John Guttman and returned to Sacramento to complete her MA in Fine Art under Joseph Raffael. She has taught Painting, Drawing and Collage/Altered Books at Napa College. She is currently teaching The Joy of Drawing, Approaching Abstraction, Water Media and Collage for Napa Valley Adult School.

I get the same issues on two different computers at different homes as well as my iPad that is logged on anywhere. Pretty sure it is not on my end. There are far too many things that are a step down from previous site. Examples: Can't seperate paragraphs in comments, no "reply" option on comments makes it difficult to know who is responding to whom, itty-bitty profile avatars smaller than a pea, green on everything makes features less distinguishable, on and on.
