The Visit Napa Valley Welcome Center in the Riverfront will host a sale and signing of the new book, the NapaLife Insider’s Guide to Napa Valley, on Saturday, Dec. 15 from noon to 2 p.m.
The book was written by Paul Franson, editor and publisher of NapaLife weekly newsletter and a frequent contributor to the Napa Valley Register, Napa Valley Life and other publications. He will be at the event, of course.
”Pick up a copy of the book for yourself and for friends, colleagues and visitors to the valley. Then you won’t have to spend a lot of time showing them around,” said Franson.
Visitors can also see the giant raised-relief map of Napa Valley and, check out the impressive center, and have a taste of wines from St. Clair Brown Winery, soon to open with a café and brewery near downtown Napa.
And while they’re there, attendees can visit the many shops along the Napa River in the Riverfront and Napa Mill, and stay for lunch. There are many choices: Fish Story, new The Pear Southern Bistro, Frati Gelato for panini and more, Morimoto, , Sweetie Pies, Napa General Store and Angèle.
Frati Gelato will give a small gelato free to anyone with a signed copy.
Those who’ve already bought the book can also bring it in for signing. Copies are also available at Fish Story, Amelia’s Gift Shop in the Napa River Inn and Napa General Store.
The Napa Valley Welcome Center is at 600 Main St. in Napa. Call (707) 251-5895.
