DOCUMENTARY FILM: GENETIC ROULETTE

Growing evidence points to genetically engineered foods as a major contributor to rising disease rates in the US population, especially among children. Gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, inflammatory diseases, and infertility are just some of the problems implicated in humans, pets, livestock, and lab animals that eat genetically modified soybeans and corn. Monsanto's strong arm tactics, the FDA's fraudulent policies, and how the USDA ignores a growing health emergency are also laid bare. This sometimes shocking film may change your diet, help you protect your family, and accelerate the consumer tipping point against genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The main feature film is 85 minutes long.Following the film, we will have three expert panelists available for discussion and Q & A. Dr. Ignacio Chapela is an Associate Professor of Microbial Ecology at U.C. Berkeley in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management. Pamm Larry is the former midwife and farmer who initiated Proposition 37, the 2012 California ballot initiative to label GE food. Paige Tomaselli is a Senior Attorney at the Center for Food Safety.Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the health risks in our food and what you can do about it!
