Bouchon Bastille Day

Now in it’s 14th year, Bouchon’s Annual Bastille Day celebration is  a much-anticipated affair for local and visiting guests of Thomas Keller’s casual bistro concept in Yountville.  With festivities and a special menu planned for Sunday, July 13 at Bouchon in Yountville, Calif., this year’s tribute to the national French holiday is destined to be their best.

“Bastille Day has been a long-standing tradition at Bouchon for our local community in Yountville,” said Thomas Keller, Chef and Proprietor, Thomas Keller Restaurant Group. “Each year we are happy to see our attendance grow, and this year we’ve expanded the celebration into the Edward James Courtyard and surrounding parking lot to better accommodate the crowds.  The popularity of this event simply allows us to further the celebration of France and French traditions in America.  That is what Bouchon is all about.”

Classic French dishes such as Tarte Flambé and whole-roasted Cochon will appear on the menu, in addition to Merguez, Choucroute Garni, crepes and select East Coast and West Coast oysters.  Favored snacks, including truffle popcorn, macarons, beignets and Bouchon brownies, will also be available.   House-selected wines from France along with classic French cocktails and beer will all be featured.

Bouchon Yountville will feature live music throughout the day, as well as a balloon artist, face painting and other children’s activities.  The Dunk Tank, featuring Chef Thomas Keller and other local personalities, returns to Bouchon Yountville to benefit the Yountville Elementary School.

Bastille Day festivities will commence on Sunday, July 13 from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Both Bouchon Bistro and Bouchon Bakery locations will observe regular business hours on Sunday, July 13 and Monday, July 14.  For reservations or to inquire about additional Bouchon Bastille Day information, please visit www.bouchonbistro.com.
