Community Corner

Aging with Humor and Dignity with Janet Ryvlin, Kerry Schwartz, Irv Kirschbaum

“Aging isn’t for Sissies...” -Anonymous

This is a support group for exploring the challenges of aging. Through open discussion as well as videos and reading we will view this time of life through the wisdom of Shambhala Buddhist teachings.

The intention for this group is to provide space for sharing and exploring the challenges and delights of growing older.  Faced with very different issues from our younger years, as we get older, we meet fears, grief and sometimes even relief and delight in the prospect of our own aging and eventual death. This group will provide a forum for exploring whatever participants choose to discuss.

This support group will be held on the 4th Saturday of each month, at the Sonoma Shambhala Center, with the exception of those dates during which there are already events scheduled there. An alternate location will be chosen as the need arisies.

Please contact Janet Ryvlin at jplanet10@comcast.net if you have any questions.

There will be no fee to participate in this program.
