25th Annual Candlelight House Tour

The History Center: Napa County Historical Society and Napa County Landmarks present the 25th Annual Candlelight House Tour on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 3-7pm. This year's tour showcases the history and eclectic architecture of Napa's "Tree Streets: West of Jefferson".

Our self-led tour features an intriguing variety of historic homes ranging from Victorian cottages to Craftsman bungalows built at the turn of the century. Beautifully restored and refurbished vintage cars, including some Model As, will be on display in front of each of the homes, courtesy of the Napa Chapter of the Model A Club.

For the first time ever we are offering a small group guided tour of the homes led by Scott Sedgley. One of our town's most popular raconteurs and "man about town," Council Member Sedgley, is a retired Napa Fire Captain and NCHS director.

Ristorante Allegria is playing host to a Dine & Donate event; dine at Allegria after the tour and a portion of your dinner bill will be contributed to event proceeds. Along with many other merchants in the downtown area, we will offer live music featuring local classical guitarist Sam Joens in the Goodman Library. There will also be a food and wine reception and book sale on tour day. And that's not all - we are launching our brand new and updated Napa County Walking Tour book featuring three of our famous walking tours in conjunction with the tour, offered at a special tour day only discount to tour guests.

Tickets are $35 for NCHS and NCL members in advance; $40 for non-members, and can be purchased in advance or at the Goodman Library, 1219 First Street, downtown Napa. On the day of the event, December 14, all tickets will be $40. The Sedgley Tour cost is $55 for all.

Tickets can be purchased at the Goodman Library, by calling 707.255.1836 or 707.224.1739, or online at www.napacountylandmarks.org or www.napahistory.org.
