February 18, 2014 (Napa, California)- Organized by the Office of Financial Aid at Napa Valley College and sponsored by Travis Credit Union, the 10th Annual Super Saturday at Napa Valley College will take place on Saturday, February 22 from 10am to 2pm. NVC invites all interested individuals - high school students, current NVC students, parents, community leaders, and the general public to learn more about accessing financial aid for college and completing the FAFSA application (required by all colleges providing federal financial aid to their students)..This free event will take place within meeting rooms at NVC McCarthy Library and Learning Resource Center and will include:
- FAFSA workshops in Spanish and English
- CA Dream Act workshops in Spanish and English by representatives from Napa Valley College and the California Student Aid Commission
- Scholarship workshop by a representative from the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office
- Counselors and NVC program tables
- Admissions officers
- Information for military veterans
- Information from the Napa Valley DREAM Team
No prior registration necessary and drop-ins are welcome. Parking is free on Saturdays at NVC and all attendees will be entered in a drawing to win a iPod music player and laptop computer.
