Napa County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk John Tuteur will circulate petitions throughout the county beginning Saturday, Dec. 28 to gather signatures from Napa County voters for a place on the June 3, 2014 Primary Election ballot.

“I gather these signatures myself,” Tuteur said, “because I enjoy direct contact with people.”

Tuteur is running for a fifth term as Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk.  Tuteur was 5th District Supervisor from 1973 through 1980 and served as County Assessor from 1987 through 1997.

“Collecting signatures allows me to hear the questions and comments of county residents and property owners,” Tuteur added. “I will be in front of shopping centers and markets in American Canyon, the City of Napa, Yountville, St. Helena, Calistoga and Angwin weekends through Sunday, Feb. 3.”

By collecting signatures in-lieu, Tuteur can offset a portion of the filing fee required to run for Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk.  Tuteur will also have voter registration forms available for new residents or those who have moved since the last election.
