Where's the Best Place to Eat with Kids?

Our contest has closed: Check Napa Patch at noon for the winner!

Updated Wednesday night: Downtown Joe's, Marie's Pizza Shack and McDonald's have been added by reader request this week.

Earlier:

Our was a crowded field, with more than a dozen local favorites contending for the crown of . (In the end, the walk-up window at  edged out for the win.)

But our new contest is almost twice the size of last week's, with more than two dozen local restaurants recommended for their family-friendly ways.

Here's how to help your favorite win this week's contest: Don't just vote in our poll, let us know in the comments section below why you and your family like to go there.

Val's and Siena were tied in the poll at the close of last week's contest, but so many readers raved in mouthwatering detail about the food from Val's that there was no questioning who would take the title.

Another way to help your favorite restaurant win our Readers' Choice award for Best Place to Eat with Kids is to leave a postive review and rating on their Napa Patch business listing. Just click on the restaurant's name on this list: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , .

Is your favorite missing from the list? Let us know in the comments ASAP and we'll add it.

The contest is open for poll voting, comments and reviews until 9 a.m. Friday. We'll reveal the winner Friday at noon.

Have fun, families!

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Okay, Julie, we've added Downtown Joe's to the contest so you can vote for it in the poll (look at the end of the list of restaurants) and leave a glowing review/rating on the restaurant's business listing (http://napa.patch.com/listings/downtown-joes-microbrewery-restaurant). Thank you!

I don't see McDonalds on the list.

Hi Art, none of our locals recommended McDonalds, do you want us to add it to the poll?
Art Morris March 06, 2012 at 05:03 AM
Sure. I think McD's is the most kid friendly restaurant across the nation. With the exception of perhaps Round Table pizza, all the other places may earn dirty looks if the kid acts up.

Filippis is the best ask for a doughball for your kids to play with .

OK, Art, but ... Best place? In Napa?
Art Morris March 06, 2012 at 06:35 AM
Well, probably the North Napa McD's. Happy Meals usually keep the kids occupied long enough for the parent to finish their meal.

My kids loved Mary's Pizza on Jefferson as adolescents, teens, and even now, when they return home from college. Good food, good service, fun atmosphere and family-friendly prices. Also, very popular as a group dining option, e.g. soccer teams, etc.

Mary's has been added, Neven, so you and the kids can cast your votes. Thanks!
