Last Day to Vote for Best Mexican Restaurant

Our Readers' Choice Award contest ends at 9 a.m. Friday. Have you cast your vote and, more crucially, left star ratings for the Mexican restaurants you love the most? You can only vote once, but you can review as many places as you like!

Where's your go-to burrito place? What's the taqueria you can't live without? Now's your chance to have a say in what Napa restaurant can claim to be the Readers' Choice for Best Mexican Food.

To help proclaim your favorite, there's more involved than just voting in the poll: The winner will be decided by a mixed tally of your votes and positive ratings on the business listings, linked below.

Comments, while always welcome, are no longer included when we tally the votes at the end of the week.

From now on, your weekly winners will be determined by the ratings on their Napa Patch Places business listings and the votes in the poll, with ratings receiving the greatest weight when we tally up the results.

The advantage to this approach is that, apart from voting in the poll, readers no longer have to choose just one out of multiple favorites: You can rate as many businesses as you like.

So if you love one (or more!) of our contestants, be sure to leave a rating and a review to tell other Napa Patch readers what you love about the place.

And if you own or manage one of the businesses in our contest, please be sure to "Claim" your listing! This allows you to customize the information that appears on our site, and to thank your loyal customers for the five-star ratings they give you.

Here are the nominees for this week's Reader's Choice Award for best Mexican food in Napa (as always, if we've missed something, please tell us in the comments and we'll add it ASAP):

, , (opening March 28) , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , /Jefferson, /Soscol, , , , , , , , , .

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Sounds yum, Mr. Wright! Now please leave a review on their listing, so everyone who looks them up can see your recommendation (and to help them win the contest): http://napa.patch.com/listings/villa-corona

I can't decide. I love Villa Corona and Taqueria Rosita. I also go to Tacos La Playita all the time. Too many good choices.

I know what you mean, Maureen! That's why we re-did the contest rules, to give the rating reviews the most weight in determining the winner, and the poll the least. You can give a great review to EACH of your favorite restaurants, without having to pick just one. The place with the best reviews and comments will win.

Compadres is by far the best in the Valley. Great food, Service and overall Ambiance. Right on the Napa River in a beautiful setting. They reach far and beyond in the community and support so many local schoolsand organizations. This the place to be...

I am LMAO about Taco even made it on the list!
Vanissa March 29, 2012 at 05:33 PM
I could eat at Don Perico everyday. I go to Villa Corona sometimes, but the food is never the same each time you go. For example sometimes there is filler in the burritos like potatoes, and othe things you are not sure what type of burrito you will get. I have not been for a while, but I will choose Don Perico's any old day.
Louisa Hufstader (Editor) March 29, 2012 at 05:44 PM
Then please don't miss the chance to give them some love with a rating review on their Patch listing, Vanissa: http://napa.patch.com/listings/don-perico-mexican-restaurant —right now poor Don Perico's has no reviews at all and with all the votes it has been getting, I know it must be a five-star place!

My wife & I have to say that for Mexican or Mexi-fusion we vote Bistro Sabor as #1, the service is great, the food is great and the prices are reasonable! My other favorite for Mexican is Las Palmas but for my wife who's vegan not so much. They have really good seafood, especially the 7 seas soup as well as the Mexi dishes. Last I have to say for fast food Hi-tech burrito is our fast food fave with clean fresh healthy options quick and at a reasonable price. Cheers, Philip & Cynthia
