Sustainable Dome Ready For Napa Valley Film Fest

Dome is one of four "town centers" for the festival throughout Napa Valley.

Napa Valley Film Festival patrons who go to pick up their passes or drink wine in Yountville will visit sustainability in action.

A solar-powered geodesic dome was built Monday in front of the Yountville Community Center by Monterey-based Eco-Infinity Group. It's one of four "town centers" to be created for the festival throughout the four Napa Valley towns of Yountville, Napa, Calistoga and St. Helena.

Sandy Doss, founder and president of Eco-Infinity Group, said the dome was one of two projects her company was commissioned to produce for the film festival, which launches this week. The other project is the interior of a wine pavilion in Napa.

"Nebraska" screening, 5:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., Cameo Cinema, St. Helena.

The festival officially starts Wednesday at 10 a.m.
