Napa Man Arrested for DUI With Kids in Backseat

A 38-year old Napa man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, willful cruelty to children, transportation of a controlled substance and driving without a license on Monday night.

Francisco Javier Zapien was pulled over by officers on a DUI patrol at Monroe  and Laurel streets. Police discovered Zapien’s children were with him and that he didn’t have a driver’s license. Zapien, according to police, was discovered to be under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance after a search.
