Napa County Board of Supervisors to Host 4-County Joint Meeting Next Week

Napa County Press Release:

The Napa County Board of Supervisors will play host to the Supervisors of Marin, Sonoma and Solano counties on Tuesday, June 4, when the four boards will meet together to discuss topics of common interest. The North Bay Counties Joint Special Meeting will take place at 3 p.m., in Hatt Hall at the Napa River Inn, 500 Main Street in Napa.

"This meeting is a part of our ongoing effort to improve  intergovernmental communication and collaboration," said Board Chairman Brad Wagenknecht. "We are also scheduling a series of joint meetings with the cities and town in Napa County, so we can publicly discuss issues that affect us all. We hope the public will join us in these conversations."

On the agenda for Tuesday's meeting is a presentation on MCE, Marin County's energy aggregation program; a discussion of North Bay transportation issues; the Affordable Healthcare Act and how it will affect the counties' County Medical Services Programs; and an overview of regional planning agencies.

This is the first North Bay multi-County supervisors meeting in nine years. The last meeting, which did not include Marin County, resulted in the Boards' Indian Gaming Consortium.

The agenda and supporting materials will be available this week at www.countyofnapa.org<http://www.countyofnapa.org> and in hard copy at the meeting on Tuesday.
