Measure U will help prevent the Upvalley sprawl of housing into the agricultural preserve. It sets boundaries for a college which has forgotten that its primary focus should be teaching, not housing development.
If PUC so desperately wants to build houses on lands that have been in agricultural production for 100 years, perhaps they should sell their ag lands to farmers, take the money and build an urban landscape in a city rather than turning rural into urban.
Vote YES on Measure U to protect our agricultural lands from being paved over by greed. Do not let developers set a building precedence in Angwin which could then set a precedence in all of Upvalley.
