Has Napa Valley's Duckhorn Vineyards met its "duck" trademark match in the Duck Commander Wines?

According to the Press Democrat, that remains to be seen in court.

The newspaper, in an article Saturday, expounds on the ongoing lawsuit by Duckhorn against Duck Commander on the use of the "duck" name.

Napa Valley Patch first reported on the lawsuit, filed in November, late last year. Both wines have ties to the Napa Valley since Duck Commander Wines are being produced in partnership with Trinchero Family Estates in St. Helena.

"Duck Commander" sounds like a Disney cartoon with Donald Duck in camo fatigues. I commend Trinchero for being able to fleece the money made from wooden and plastic kazoos with squeakers in them.

It's like asking who is more famous Audrey Hepburn, Mickey Mouse or Kim Kardashian?...........Quality vs Quantity.

The word duck is used everywhere without confusion. Both wine companies have very clearly written and different looking labels. Duckhorn has nothing to complain about.
