What's Your Favorite Coffee Shop in Napa?

For this week's Readers' Choice contest, we ask you to pick the best place in Napa to hang out and enjoy your java or tea.

You have a couple of minutes before work and you failed to properly caffeinate before you left home. Where do you stop for the fuel you need?

You are meeting a friend for a chat, a latte and snack. Where do you meet?

You need to get out of the house and get some work done on the laptop or relax and thumb through the newspaper. Where do you go?

In this week's Napa Patch Readers Choice, we ask you to pick your top spot among the city's coffee and tea shops.

Here are the nominees for this week. As always, if we've missed someplace, please tell us in the comments and we'll add it ASAP:

on First Street

 Lincoln Avenue

 Soscol Avenue

 663 Trancas

 1340 Trancas

 Redwood Road

Have fun showing some love for your favorite spot, not only with a poll vote (one per reader, please) but by leaving a great review and a positive rating on its Patch Directory page. Just click the highlighted names to see the directory page for each place in the contest.

The poll goes away after a few days, but the positive reviews and ratings stay forever — plus they count heavily in the contest judging. So if you love one (or more) of our contestants, be sure to leave a rating and a review.

And if you own or manage one of the businesses in our contest, be sure to "Claim" your listing; this allows you to customize the information that appears on our site, and to thank your loyal customers for the five-star ratings they give you.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on the listings in our directory. Leave reviews for as many listing as you wish, but please vote only once per survey, per Patch. Complete contest rules are attached.

Here's your chance to share your recommendations. Vote in our poll and then visit the listing for your favorite spot and give it a star rating. Voting ends Friday at 9 a.m. and we'll reveal the winner at noon that day, so keep tabs on the Readers' Choice contest all week long.

Napa is becoming more of a mecca for a coffee fix.

Brain fade! Thanks, Elizabeth McKinney, for pointing out that somehow Alexis Baking Company was left off our list. I added it, but then clumsily hit the "delete" button on Elizabeth's comment (I was reaching for "reply.") Double d'oh! I apologize twice.

Molinari Caffé! We don't need Starbucks!

This contest offers a great opportunity to review the coffee shops you support, telling other readers why you like to go there and why they should too. Comments are also good, but the reviews on the cafés' business listings will really help them out. Plus, you don't have to pick only one, as you do for the poll. Just click on their highlighted names in the article above to be linked to their Napa Patch listings. Hey, two comments have disappeared from this thread this morning: One was from Elizabeth McKinney reminding me that we had somehow missed ABC, and I deleted it by mistake while trying to reply and thank her. Then my reply also vanished. Anyway, Alexis Baking Company is in the poll and contest and I once again apologize for missing them and then deleting Elizabeth's email. ("The moon must be in Klutz," as a sage once observed.)

Why can't I make my vote from my phone ? I want to vote for Molinari Cafe.
Rick Cabral May 22, 2012 at 05:34 PM
Molinari Cafe is a great cafe where everyone knows your name. Coffee selection is not only wonderful, it's different then any other coffee shop in town.
Louisa Hufstader (Editor) May 22, 2012 at 09:53 PM
I feel that, Rick, and apologize. The tech department knows we want more phone access but it's not coming soon enough. Thanks for persevering! When you get a chance, please leave a review for Molinari, too, telling folks why it's so good.

Cant say enough about Blue Skies Cafe. The best Cafe that no one knows about. Great staff and awesome patrons. My four year old daughter and I go in for hot cocoa every morning :))

Napa Roasting is charming, has great mango ice tea, and yummy chocolate biscottis. Everyone that works there is friendly and "knows your name." I go there every morning and have for seven years. It's one habit I don't plan on changing . . . smile.

We have a winner! http://napa.patch.com/articles/newcomer-molinari-wins-award-for-napa-s-best-coffee-shop Thanks, everyone. Please don't forget you can still leave rave reviews for your favorite places even if they didn't win. All the links are in the article.

Brett, I bet they'd love it if you left that great comment in a review on their Napa Patch business listing: http://napa.patch.com/listings/blue-skies-coffees-and-teas - Nobody has reviewed them yet.
