What Movies Do You Want to See at the Cinemark Napa?

A quick Facebook post after my meeting Wednesday with representatives from Cinemark, the Texas-based theater company that is building a 12-screen complex in south Napa, has drawn dozens of comments from movie fans.

Here's what I posted:

• Just had a terrific meeting with the folks who are opening the new Cinemark 12-screen movie theater behind Home Depot. November 9 is the first day and Napa Patch will have tickets to give away! Are you a movie lover? Care to guess what films they'll open with? Louisa

Here's what some Napa movie-lovers said:

• Paulette Zaouk Gone With the Wind.
• Ian Stanley They'll probably open with whatever movies are opening that weekend. That's what people will be coming and expecting. It'd be super fun if they featured a historic box-office film from the past in each theater, rotating through decades and genres!
• Jennifer Kritsky Hardwick Sky Fall. James Bond.
• Leah Barker-Westin I am hoping for back to the Future 1, 2 and 3 
• Matt Jackson Lincoln....then the following week Twilight -breaking dawn 2 (BOO!)
• Tim Thulin Superman 15?
• Karen Hutchison Calhoun Les Miserables?!
• Jen Walsh I'm looking forward to the new Lincoln film with Daniel Day-Lewis and I think that opens around the same time.

• Julie Paine Man With the Iron Fist?
• Janeen Di Rienzo Hopefully the three that will be opening on that day, Skyfall • Lincoln • A Royal Affair
• Tansy Otterbeck Lincoln, Skyfall, Royal Affair, The Man with the Iron Fist, Wreck it Ralph and Flight if they are going to play the opening movie card. If I were going to plan it, it would be They Knew What They Wanted (1940), Killer Bees (1974), Wild in the Country (1961), Walk in the Clouds, A (1995), Apocolypse Now, Bottle Shock (2008) and This Earth Is Mine (1959)
• Nicole Rabe All I know is I saw a beer/wine license out front for Cinemark so I don't care what they open with as long as I can partake in a glass of wine!
• Bill George Fishing Alaska?
• Alissa Anderson Galios Breaking Dawn part 2
• William Stoddard Transformers 4 playing Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon!
• Jamie Clemons Breaking dawn part 2. Since it comes out near the time they open.
• Nicole Rabe Definitely going to need a cocktail to watch ANOTHER twilight movie :)
• Lisa Miller The new Twilight for sure
• Stacy Reyes Oh common people it's going to be Rocky 7
• Leilani Musgrave Slack Ooo! So excited! The man with the iron fist! Lincoln, this must be the place, a late quartet...we'll have our party the next week when breaking dawn comes out!!!! You should come Louisa! It's a blast:D
