“The Pear: A Southern Bistro,” on the waterfront in Napa, has earned a recommendation in the prestigious Michelin Guide, one of the most widely respected publications in the restaurant industry worldwide.
“He [Executive Chef Rodney Worth] continues his love affair with Southern food at this Napa outpost, rife with stunning views of the promenade and river, a pristine exposed kitchen, and large dark wood tables," gushes the Guide writers.
"Gumbo ya ya is an intensely flavorful stock bobbing with chicken and seasoned with Andouille, tomato, and garlic. Bourbon-glazed baby back ribs with crushed peanuts evoke Louisiana in all its glory.”
The Napa Pear, which opened in Dec. 2012, is affiliated with Danville's “The Peasant & The Pear,” which was recommended by the Michelin Guide for a fourth consecutive year.
Both establishments are part of “The Pear Restaurant Group,” six restaurants from award-winning Executive Chef Rodney Worth. www.RodneyWorth.com.
“We’re excited having our second ‘Michelin Recommended’ restaurant," Woth said. "This is a dual honor for my Danville and Napa kitchen and dining room staffs!”
