New Tech Napa Grad Invents Motorized Surfboard
Okay, it's really a body board. But it goes 15 - 25 mph. Hang 11!
Talk about a whiz kid:
graduate Jason Woods used to like whizzing around on Lake Berryessa in a speedboat.
Now Woods can skim across the surface in the motorized bodyboard for which he recently won a 2011 Inventors Award from Popular Science magazine.

According to the magazine’s website, Woods’s invention – called the Kymera – weighs just 35 pounds and can scoot along the water at up to 15 miles an hour.
A second model now in development will reach 25 mph, Woods told the magazine.
