"At age 70, she writes blogs, sends emails, Facebooks, takes art classes volunteers to be a city-bus ambassador, and continues to sharpen her mind through read, cooking, and yoga.

"She was the first female driving instructor in the state of California. She has rallied for women's rights throughout the '60s and '70s and has been an advocate for women and minorities her entire life.

"As a single mother in the '60s and '70s, she raised two boys while struggling for work and maintaining jobs as a divorced woman. She brightens the room with her smiles and kisses and huggy-poo's.

"Grandma Jan deserves the massage because she has been a positive force in women's rights throughout her life despite road blocks and nay-sayers… and hey it's mother's day, so wouldn't that be something to give back to someone who has been there for mothers?"

Rice may contact Napa Valley Patch editor Keri Brenner (keri.brenner@patch.com) to make arrangements to collect his prize.

Thanks to all the contestants and their moms for the great stories!

Separate drawings are also being held for Massage Envy contest winners at Patch sites in Petaluma, Rohnert Park and Sonoma.
