Napa Valley Wine Trolley Up and Running

New service joins similar trolley in Sonoma; Yountville has its own trolley too.

A new Napa Valley Wine Trolley has launched for visitors who want to enjoy wine tasting and a tour of the Valley.

The Napa Valley Wine Trolley takes visitors on a full day tour that allows guests to take in the gorgeous scenery, aromas, and tastes of world class vineyards from a fun and unique perspective.

The Napa Valley Wine Trolley is a motorized, replica of a classic San Francisco cable car.  While everything on the outside appears vintage and takes you back to a by-gone-era, the ride is smooth and comfortable thanks to modern automotive technology.

The Napa Valley Wine Trolley picks up passengers daily at the Oxbow Public Market at 10:30 a.m. and returns about 4:30 p.m.

Guests may reserve their seat at www.napavalleywinetrolley.com, or call 1- 877-Wine-Trolley, or 707-252-6100.

A 6-hour tour on the Napa Valley Wine Trolley costs $99 per person and includes:

Tours on the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley, a sister company, began in the fall of 2010 and visitors have been raving about the experience from the beginning.  The company also earned a Certificate of Excellence this year from TripAdvisor.com.

"We are excited to bring our unique tour into Napa Valley," said Craig Haskell, general manager of both the Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley Wine Trolleys.  "Our Wine Trolley tours have proven to be a fun, educational, and safe way for people to experience some of the best wineries in the world.   Riding in our open air trolley provides guests with an experience that no other motorized tour company does."

The town of Yountville also operates a free trolley service that is geared for transit rather than tours.

The Napa Valley Wine Trolley is owned by Appellation Tours Inc, a local company founded 17 years ago by Tom Buck.   Tom and his wife, Georgia, have successfully built a highly acclaimed limousine and touring company, offering high quality customer service, comfortable transportation, and knowledgeable drivers.

These standards, the relationships they've established with businesses in Napa and Sonoma, and their drive to provide unique wine tasting experiences for locals and visitors, are the foundation of this family-owned company.  For more information please visit www.napavalleywinetrolley.com.
