Napa Valley Biscuits Reopens

The instantly-popular Main Street eatery, which closed for remodeling a week after it opened, is back in business with more food storage capacity to meet hungry diners' demands.

We should all have such problems: Downtown Napa's newest eating place, , opened its doors to such instant and overwhelming demand that owners Curtis and Tara Lindley were running out of food every day.

Especially for a , turning away guests is no way to be in the hospitality business.

So the Lindleys quickly revamped their business plan—which had called for about half as many customers a day as they found themselves serving at lunchtime alone—ordered a new fryer and refrigerator, called their contractor and after lunch on their eighth day of business.

Chef Curtis Lindley had estimated Napa Valley Biscuits would be shuttered for a week; that turned into nine days, but the restaurant was set to reopen Tuesday at 7 a.m., according to a sign posted on the restaurant's front door Monday afternoon.
