Though the recent unrelenting rains make it seem like summer may never arrive, it won’t be long before it’s hot enough to prompt someone in your house to say “I wish we had a pool.” If you’re in the market for a home that offers a summertime oasis, so you can sip something cool poolside while the kids swim till long after sunset, one of these homes may be for you.

Buying a home with a pool is a big commitment, since upkeep can be expensive, not to mention a lot of work. And if you’re deciding whether or not a pool is for you, buy because you, or your kids, want to swim, but not based on potential resale value.

So, if your summertime dreams include poolside drinks and barbeques, you may want to keep that lack of competition in mind when you make an offer on one of these Napa homes.
