"Green Power" drinks delivered weekly by Brigitte Center's company Brigitte's Naturally Alive.

A company offering "Green Power" smoothies for health, fitness and weight loss is expanding in Napa Valley.

Brigitte's Naturally Alive, founded by Brigitte Center of Napa, produces the "Green Power" drinks, which include seven servings of vegetables and four servings of fruit per drink.

"Each drink has 100 percent of the daily nutrients from fruits and vegetables," Center said. "People may use the drinks to cleanse for the New Year -- and they may continue on with an action plan for health, fitness and weight loss."

Center said she got the idea for the company in 2009 when she decided to change her life. She started drinking and blending -- and drinking and blending --until she created "Green Power."

She subsequently moved her operation to Napa and has been steadily building her base of devoted drinkers.

About "Green Power"

One 32-ounce bottle of "Green Power"  smoothie contains seven servings of veggies and four servings of fruit. Those include: fresh, raw organic kale, banana, mango, pineapple, lemon, chia seeds, and a proprietary blend of dehydrated greens, grasses, vegetables, sea vegetables and purified water.

Center claims that the cleansing, anti-inflammatory properties of "Green Power" naturally cleanses cells, blood, tissues and colon.

She also finds the smoothie boosts energy and mental clarity, improves digestion, strengthens the immune system, promotes a healthy balanced pH and removes toxins.

"The result is optimal organ function, radiant skin and renewed vitality," Center says.

To maximize the cleansing effect of the "Green Power" drink, Center recommends that customers drink lemon water first thing in the morning.

"Squeeze half a lemon into an 8-ounce glass of water and drink," Center said. "This simple act is so powerful and detoxifying!

"You are waking up your organs, flushing out toxins from your cells, getting your bowels ready to eliminate unneeded waste, while balancing your alkaline levels, which boosts your immunity and reverses aging," she added.

In addition to the lemon water and Green Power drink, Center recommends drinking two to three liters of water a day.

"Stay hydrated so that fiber can do its best ‘clean-up’ job," she said.
