Winemaker Wednesday

Join us this Winemaker Wednesday for Hugo Family Cellars & Jonas Cellars.  We are offering a flight of wine for $20. 6-8 pm.

HUGO FAMILY CELLARS:

Pam and Glenn Hugo met in 2001 while working for a large restaurant company in Houston, Texas. It soon became very clear that they had a love for each other as well as a love for wine.

In 2003, they did the unthinkable; they married in April and in October packed up and moved to Napa. It was time to chase their dream.

Through the next few years Glenn learned from some of the great winemakers of the valley the do's and don'ts in the cellar and felt it was time for him and Pam to take the big plunge.

In 2007 they purchased two tons of Napa Valley Syrah, 1/2 ton of Russian River Syrah and 1/2 ton of Russian River Grenache. They had begun. It was working her first harvest that Pam defined our roles by announcing "You're before Bottle, I am after.”

They welcome you to join their family and to be inspired to chase your dreams.

JONAS CELLARS:

The Jonas Blend:
Jonas combines two of winemaker Zach Long’s favorite things; barrel fermentation and Cabernet Franc.

His Cab Franc is sourced from a single vineyard and triple hand-sorted. Whole berries are placed into 100% new French oak for primary and secondary fermentation on its skins for upwards of five months.

Total time in barrel is 21 months, and then it's off to the bottle for a bit of aging. “This project takes the love and support of many special people in my life and I am pleased to share it with you.”

- Zach Long, Winemaker
