Best for St. Patrick's Day? Meet Your Winner

This week's Readers' Choice Awards contest quickly became a duel between two popular family businesses, Five Dot Ranch and Suppertime.

Out of all the in this week's Readers' Choice Awards contest to find the best in Napa, and quickly took the lead, turning the contest into a duel between two family businesses on opposite sides of town.

For a high-end meat market that has only been in operation in Napa for about five years, Five Dot Ranch did remarkably well in the contest.

The shop in the , which sells sustainably-raised beef, received 31 percent of the vote in our poll, one five-star review on the shop's listing in our Places directory and reader comments like this one:

Five Dot Ranch prepares the best corned beef and cabbage I have ever tasted! I have already called ahead and reserved my plate! I also heard with the purchase of your dinner you get $2 off draft beer at the . Perfect! ()

But the people's choice, resoundingly, was Suppertime at the . The longtime Napa business received 47 percent of poll votes, two five-star reviews and a string of glowing comments:

Suppertime by far! I have gone many of the years they have put on their event, makes me feel like I'm on vacation with all my old Irish relatives. Sing-songs are some of the best! look forward to it every year!! ()
