Do You Own a Napa Business? Patch Can Help Promote You

Napa Patch provides business owners and organizations the ability to add photos, videos, menus and special promotions to our free business directory. Sept. 27 we expand to include Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga. Sign up now!

Calling all Napa business owners! Have you claimed your listing on Napa Patch? You can take charge of your own page and put up events, sales and notices about what's happening at your store.

Local businesses get extra bonuses when they claim their free listings.

To claim a listing, sign into the site and search for your business in our business directory under Places. Underneath the photos there, you'll see a box with the question: Do you own or manage this location?

Just click Claim it! Within a short time, someone from Patch will contact you to verify your authenticity. You'll then be approved as the business owner or manager and will see a "Manage Your Listing" button.

From there, you have lots of options to add photos, see your statistics, edit your listing and reach your customers.

Here are the tools you'll see and what they mean:

Your Stats:

Here you can see how many users have rated, reviewed or follow your listing. You can email your customers to thank them, seek out more reviews and link your Patch Place to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Edit Listing:

Add photos, website information, hours of operation, contact information and more under the "basic info" tab. Not all the information can be changed on the spot, but you can request a new description if you think your business is inaccurately described.

Choose "extra info" to add information like the founding date of your business, what kinds of payments you accept, parking information and more.

Manage Photos & Media:

Here you can add and edit photos and choose which image is featured. If you have a video or PDFs, you would add that here.

You can see what people have to say about your business and respond to reviews.

For a fee, you can upgrade your listing with a video profile, add a message from the owner and become a featured business on the Places page.

But it's free to claim your listing today, to help keep Napa Patch users up to date with your company and keep your listing looking fresh.

Don't see your business? . Starting Sept. 27, we're expanding our reach to include Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga.

Thank you for the compliment. I am grateful to my colleague(s) who created it for us.

Every city in the Napa Valley....EXCEPT American Canyon? I have been trying to come up with the appropriate word for awhile, maybe your readers can help me: when an entire population is prejudice against another based on location. Elitism?
Louisa Hufstader November 25, 2012 at 04:31 PM
Definitely not elitism: The decision was made at corporate headquarters by people who really don't know this area at all. But although I don't controI the directory, as local editor I welcome American Canyon announcements, events and blog posts any time. Smart business owners will see this as an opportunity to show the company that American Canyon should not be ignored.
