Five icononic Napa Valley wineries are scheduled to be on the Napa Valley Historic Wineries Tour March 21-22.
Trefethen Family Vineyards, and Del Dotto Vineyard will be included.
These wineries are the work of Hamden W. McIntyre, credited with designing the first gravity-feed wineries in the Valley.
Highlights include wine tastings and tours at all locations and unique dining experiences. There will also be a special visit to Rutherford House, Beaulieu’s grand Craftsman residence, which is being opened especially for this tour.
Lunch will be provided by two of the Valley’s renowned chefs. Chef Christopher Kostow, with three Michelin stars, a rare four stars from the San Francisco Chronicle, and one of Food & Wine magazine's Best New Chefs, will host diners at luxury resort Meadowood Napa Valley.
Lunch will also be served at Del Dotto Winery by their executive winery chef, Chef Joshua Schwartz, lately of The French Laundry and Bouchon. Chef Schwartz has also served as Private Dining Chef at Thomas Keller’s Per Se in New York City.
This tour is designed to appeal to wine aficionados, foodies, architects, preservationists, historians, cultural travelers – in short, those of you who want to experience the best the Napa Valley has to offer.
