It's barely a year and a half old, but 1313 Main has become a fixture in the downtown Napa scene. So much so that it's celebrity, variety and "vibe", have hit print with the San Francisco Chronicle.
"Movie nights, winemaker nights, holiday parties - it's a sexy spot for locals and tourists to congregate and celebrate late into the night."
So summarizes Janny Hu in the Bargain Bites column, published online Wednesday. "It's stylish, through and through," he writes, and almost sings his other praises. It's all very flattering for Al Jarabin's small plates restaurant.
In fact, it wasn't that long ago that Louisa Hufstader checked out 1313 on a special occasion. "This is where I went on my birthday," she wrote in her listing review of March 2012. "There's no better spot to sample sparkling wines by the glass with a cheese plate. Impeccable service, too."
Julie Weinstock interviewed proprietor Jabarin in August 2011, and John K. Ruch did a back-of-the-house business profile in May 2011.
We applaud 1313 Main for basking in another moment in the glare of favorable publicity.
There'll have a New Year's Eve party next Monday, too - "ringing in '13 at 1313 Main." Now that's timely information.
