A downtown Napa wine tasting lounge is hosting a month of "In the Pink" events in conjunction with October's designation as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

1313 Main is featuring special programming, including a limited “pink bottling” of current vintage Cru 32 wines, breast cancer awareness merchandise for sale, and a gala on Oct. 28 called  “Treasure Chest ‘O Fun!”

Events also include an all-female lineup of “Winemaker Wednesdays” in October.

The lounge is donating 100 percent of the proceeds from the breast cancer awareness month programs and events to the Queen of the Valley Foundation in support of breast cancer research and the Cancer Center at Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

“My family, as with many families, has felt the effect of breast cancer," said 1313 Main owner Al Jabarin. "Our 1313 Main family is committed each year to do what we can to raise awareness and money to combat this terrible disease.

The “Treasure Chest ‘O Fun!” benefit gala, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, is in association with Judd’s Hill Winery. It includes the debut of the newest episode of Wine Booty with Judd and the Pirate, with special guest Ernie Weir of Hagafen Cellars.

This pre-Halloween bash features a pirate themed costume contest, the “Buccaneer Bachelor” game show, classic swashbuckling movies on the big screen, silent auction, along with pirate themed bites provided by Lulu’s Kitchen at 1313 Main, paired with incredible wines.

Guests will also have the chance to view the Judd's Hill Pirate Ship, recently made infamous on sports TV stations across the country and take a “Picture with the Pirate” with all proceeds benefiting the Cancer Center at Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
