Napa Police Nab Suspect After Foot Pursuit Through Vineyard

Man crashed car on Highway 29 before fleeing on foot.

A man was found hiding behind an air conditioner on a vineyard property and arrested by Napa Police after a foot pursuit through the vineyard.

California Highway Patrol Officer David Mosqueda said the incident started around 4 p.m. today on Highway 29 north of Yountville. Police were pursuing a man in a car but he crashed the car and took off on foot through a vineyard.

CHP assisted by closing off Silverado Trail until the suspect was apprehended at about 4:15 p.m. Mosqueda said.

He had no word on what offenses the man was suspected of committing or the person's ID.

Some drivers and bicyclists on Silverado Trail said they were turned back during the incident.
