Silverware & used car parts? All in the name of public art.

Arts Council Napa Valley and the City of Napa welcome in another round of the Napa ARTwalk into Downtown Napa, the third round of the local favorite temporary public art exhibition.

From Napa's streets are prepping to be transformed again with a fresh ARTwalk exhibition launching this June! Featuring fifteen new sculptures from artists across the Western U.S., all of the art on this year's tour represents change and transformation.

Since this program began in partnership with the City of Napa back in 2010, we've seen public art make a transformation of its own on our community. We love receiving your phone calls, wall posts, and emails excitedly sharing what sculptures you love, and how they've made you see Downtown Napa in a new light.

This exhibition is one of our best yet. Four of the sculptures are created from out-of-the-box repurposed materials, like old fences, car parts, grass sod, and even pots and pans! We are proud to feature a Napa artist, Dona Kopol Bonick, who is bringing sculptural photography to the exhibition for the first time, and have three returning artists: Nicky Falkenhayn and Adrian Susnea Litman, who exhibited in 2010, and Chris Rench, who featured "Ta-Dah!" in 2011. The remaining seven sculptures are colorful, playful, and definitely Instagram worthy.*

*If you snag a picture, be sure to tag it with #napaartwalk and mention us, so we're sure see them! Our Instagram name is @artscouncilnapavalley.

The upcoming ARTwalk has even been nationally recognized from media outlets like Forbes Magazine, who credit our temporary public art exhibition with creating cultural vibrancy! Read the newest mention of the ARTwalk here.

We hope you take time out of your busy days to relax with a walk along the ARTwalk sites this summer and beyond-- an official tour guide to the program will be made available June 13th both online at www.napaartwalk.org and in person at the Napa Valley Welcome Center.

Welcome in new art and a fresh perspective, and join us for a public launch reception of the program on June 13th, 2013, at Downtown Joe's Napa from 5:00-6:00pm.
