Free! At 3 p.m., on Third Street plays host to an unusual event for animal-lovers and art aficionados alike: Napa Humane is launching the first ever traveling Adoptable Photography Exhibit in Napa Valley called “On the Road to Home.”

The brings real jazz –- not the background music that passes for jazz sometimes -- to local venues. This afternoon at Silo's it's a special tribute to the Impulse! record label, which released some of the greatest recordings of all time including John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman's duets, Oliver Nelson's Blues and the Abstract Truth with its unforgettable original "Stolen Moments," and many more.

Pianist and leader Larry Vuckovich brings reedman Noel Jewkes, bassist Jeff Chambers, drummer Lorca Hart and singer Jamie Davis to this 4 p.m. concert paying tribute to a special era in jazz history. Tickets are $20.

Gifts 'n Tyme Holiday Fair @ the Expo Friday, Sat, and Sun. (this next part copied from the NVR events page for those that dont know what this is) Features 85 booths of fine crafts, art and gourmet foods to sample, all hand-crafted by the artists themselves. The Napa Valley Lion’s Club will be holding their home-baked goodies sale. The fair also features a full kitchen serving delicious homemade lunches and dinners.
