This is Preservation Napa Valley's 2011 Community Preservation Project, a photographic and film documentation of Napa Valley Old Timers. This unprecedented photographic and film documentation presents the work of six local, professional photographers and a filmmaker who captured fourteen unsung Napa Valley residents from Pope Valley to Angwin, Rutherford, Napa, Calistoga, American Canyon, these folks all played a part in a quieter, smaller Valley. Farmers, teachers, fruit truck drivers, dairy men, naturalists, homemakers and hay-makers; these are the folks that watched the transformation of Napa from a vast and diverse agricultural bread basket to the viticultural powerhouse Napa Valley is today. It is the last generation that holds the memories and stories of a place and time passed.
