More than 30 acts will be playing during the three-hour, self-guided tour sponsored by Napa County Landmarks and Napa Patch.

On one porch a bluegrass band might be performing, while just down the street there’s a rousing concert of classical eight-hands piano works.

Folk, funk and blues are also part of the musical menu that includes jump-blues trio , jazz accordionist, the and many others.

Free to all ages, Napa Porchfest encourages listeners to get out of their cars and stroll or cycle the city’s neighborhoods, enjoying the sounds of live music and the sights of historic homes from earlier times.

In the words of Napa architect, preservationist and City Council member Juliana Inman, “vernacular porches and homegrown music” make a perfect match.

So mark your calendar and watch Napa Patch daily as we build an interactive map with links to profiles, music photos and videos of all the musicians, with the addresses of the porches where they’ll be playing.
