Saturday:

Enjoy the wonderful smells of an oak fire, paella slowly simmering in a 6 foot paella pan over oak and grapevine cuttings as you enjoy a glass of refreshing sangria. Celebrate summer with with food prepared by .

If you go: The cost is $50 per person; $45 for members. Pre-paid reservations are required by calling 707-944-0500. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Napa Valley Museum, 55 Presidents Circle in Yountville.

Go ahead, take that SUV off-road! Then bring it to Choir's third car wash of the summer, at the paint store parking lot, for a refreshing shower and spiff-up. A clean car and a great cause; what could be better?

If you go: A suggested donation of $10 helps raise funds for student choir outfits and performance tours. The car wash is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sherwin Williams parking lot, 1500 Trancas Street in Napa.

Saturday:

The ‘Comedians with Disabilities Act’, a troupe of disabled comedians, brings their unique brand of humor to the for a show to benefit the Special Olympics. The comics joined forces after they all found each other in Northern California, then created a comedy show that would give audiences the chance to learn, laugh and receive unique insights into the world of disability living. Each comic has their own individual point of view developed from their day-to-day frustrations and challenges they encounter.

If you go: Tickets are $20 and can be bought by clicking here. The show begins at 8 p.m. at the , 1350 3rd Street in Napa. This show contains adult materials and language. 

Sunday:

Author Christopher Moore and Ian Corson will be in the store reading from and signing copies of their latest graphic novel THE GRIFF, a tale of alien invasion and a motley crew of earthlings trying to stay alive, and oh yeah, save humankind.

If you go: This free event is from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at , 3900 Bel Aire Plaza in Napa.

Sunday:

celebrates two of the Wine Country capital’s best-kept secrets: the city’s grassroots music scene and its historic architecture. The first porch music festival in California, the all-volunteer Porchfest offers visitors the chance to experience a Napa few non-residents know. More than 120 local musicians, in 42 groups, play for free on 26 porches in the city’s most picturesque neighborhoods. Bluegrass, jazz, folk, funk, blues, vocal harmonies, alternative rock and even classical eight-hands-two-piano performances are all on the Napa Porchfest schedule.

If you go: This free and wonderful event is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and while most of the Napa Porchfest events take place in residential neighborhoods, several are happening downtown at locations including and the .
