Idol NV: There Can Be Only One

Saturday night's the showdown for nine finalists in the biennial contest, and it's not too late to get a seat for the sing-off at the Napa Valley Opera House.

Nine Napa Valley singers, some as young as 13, will take the stage of the Saturday night for the final round of the latest singing contest.

By the end of the evening, just one will hold the title of Idol NV. But she and the two runners-up will also be holding brand-new Kindles, and all of the finalists will receive generous goody bags of gifts from Napa businesses.

The nine finalists performing are ,, , , , and . Each rose to the top as a judges' and/or audience favorite during one of four qualifying rounds at the Opera House over the past few weeks.

In 2007 and 2009, the final rounds of the biennial contest drew overflow crowds to the Opera House on Main Street.

Opera House artistic director Evy Warshawski promises that this year's final will be another engaging mix of music and entertainment including a fashion show by Betty's Girl Boutique.

Reigning Idol NV Olivia Jasmine is also on the bill, performing a few songs while the ballots are tallied after all the competitors have finished.

Jasmine then will crown her successor, the new Idol NV.
