Exclusively and Support SANE SART!

This year we are holding our Sip, Shop, Support Fundraiser "Wine on
the Water" at the Coal Shed Studios on the Mare Island Naval Shipyard!
Music, shopping, wine, art and a beautiful view. We would like to make
it an affordable, environmentally friendly, hand-made, Do-it-Yourself
, small business and women centered event.

As many of you are aware our Sexual Assault Team of Forensic Nurses
are first respon
ders to the victims of abuse in Solano, Marin, Napa, Mendocino,
Sonoma, and Lake Counties. Most of the victims we see are Women and
Children. The funds we raise help keep state-of-the-art examination
rooms like our Courage Center for Children “Emergency Room Ready” and
our team of six nurses well supplied, educated and prepared for Court
to the utmost!

The RN’s who do this work are not supported financially by the
Hospitals or Counties they serve, so it is up to us to keep this vital
resource available to the public 24 hours a day!
It has been proven that Forensic RN testimonies in sexual assault
cases decrease the “Blame the Victim” defense methods used by lawyers
and increase the number of eye-witness- testimonies surrounding the
crime. Additionally, the DNA does NOT lie!
We do not charge the survivors or sexual assault for our services.

Music:
UC Davis Musicians ,The Souterrain will be will be fresh off their
European tour and are performing with Benecia's eclectic band Dead Cat
Hat, BOTH back by popular demand. Vallejo Percussionist and Raptress,
Shannon Lacy will be performing with Napa's own World Music
phenom,Trevor Lyon. The popular and talented band, The Yaks from
Vallejo will be performing as well! Illustrious Don Bassey will be
doing an acoustic set! Filipina Queen, DJ Rose will be spinning vinyl
early along with DuloDuloVideoMagazine's DJ Meone.
Poet and Hip-Opera raptress Aria des Jardins,
will also be featured.Jessie Fagan of Comfort Slacks will be
performing during our "Fast&Furious" Shopping Specials

ART:
Charcoal Portrait Artist Jessica Lynn Stuart will be there doing live
art to help us raise funds!
Our newest Board Member Cheryl Laube, will be presenting her series:
"All things girly" along with many other amazing Coal Shed Artist!

Directions to the Coal Shed:

From the East Bay:Head North on Interstate 80. Take the Tennessee
exit. Go over the freeway heading West on Tennessee. Eventually you
will cross Wilson and Tennessee will become Mare Island Causeway. You
will cross the Mare Island bridge, but stay in your left lane. Take a
left at Nimitz. Take a left at 4th St. The Coal Shed is on the left
Bldg. 153.

From Napa:Go South on Highway 29/Sonoma Blvd. Take Hiway 37 West.
After going over the bridge, take the first exit onto Mare Island
(Walnut). Follow Walnut to the stop sign. Turn left onto G Street.
Turn right onto Nimitz. Take a left at 4th St. The Coal Shed is on the
left Bldg. 153.

From Marin, Novato, Sonoma: Take Highway 37 East. Take the first exit
onto Mare Island (Walnut). Follow Walnut to the stop sign. Turn left
onto G Street. Turn right onto Nimitz. Take a left at 4th St. The Coal
Shed is on the left Bldg. 153.

From Vallejo: Head West on Tennessee. Eventually you will cross Wilson
and Tennessee will become Mare Island Causeway. You will cross the
Mare Island bridge, but stay in your left lane. Take a left at Nimitz.
