The United States Army Brass Quintet and the RNO Brass Quintet perform a program of classical and jazz and music as well as Russian and American popular songs of the wartime period, played in tribute to veterans of the Second World War. The collaboration between the RNO Brass Quintet and the United States Army Brass Quintet began in 2009, when the two brass quintets presented a concert and seminar in Washington, DC titled “Music from The Czar's Library.” The two quintets also performed together again in Russian in 2010, presenting concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg commemorating the 65th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. That tour continues in Napa with this free concert.
