Dinner at Downtown Joes with Mark Twain

The Incomparable Mark Twain makes his triumphant return to on March 10th in a dinner lecture at Downtown Joe’s. Mark Twain will recount his visits to Napa in 1865, tell stories from his time in the West, and read from his recently published autobiography. A question and answer period will be included at the conclusion of the lecture.

Mark Twain is portrayed by George Webber: local History tour operator and professional character portrayal performer. “I share certain personality traits with Mr. Clemens,” Mr. Webber says, “I was born modest, but it soon wore off.”

 A three course 1865 period authentic dinner is included in the $35 per person price: Yorkshire Pudding, Boiled Beef, Roast Potatoes, Carrots, Trifle, and two pints of freshly brewed Downtown Joe’s beer. All other incidentals are extra.
