The public is invited for the dedication of the Community Art Memorial, Wednesday, October 19 at 4 p.m. in the museum's sculpture garden.
Designed by Nimbus Arts, the memorial was created by Pathway Home and community residents, students from Howell Mountain School, a group from Angwin Teen Center, local high school students and about 40 Napa Valley Museum visitors who participated in an open workshop on September 11.
One side of the five-foot sculpture features pastoral scenes with birds, water, sky and reptile imagery. Three and four-inch medallions of varying designs decorate the opposite side.
