Chamber Concert to Benefit Napa Valley Symphony

Cellist Zuill Bailey and pianist Awadagin Pratt will introduce their new CD of music by Johannes Brahms on Tuesday, March 29th, at the Jarvis Conservatory.   The concert coincides with the world-wide release of the new Bailey-Pratt Telarc International CD, giving Napa Valley audiences the chance to be the first to hear these fine artists perform this repertoire live.  A reception featuring fine wines and appetizers from Morimoto Napa, Carpe Diem and Angele begins at 5:30 p.m., with the performance following at 6:30 p.m.   The program will feature Brahms' monumental sonatas for cello and piano, along with transcriptions of some of the composer's art songs.   Following the performance, guests have the option to attend a dinner paired with wines with Mr. Bailey and Mr. Pratt at La Toque, in the nearby Westin Verasa. Tickets for the reception and concert at the Jarvis Conservatory are $100 per person.  Tickets for the reception, concert, and dinner at La Toque are $300 per person.  Reservations are required. Telephone Andrea Lyons at 707-944-9905 Ext. 5840 for reservations or for more details.
