5th Annual Choir Festival

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Music Director Travis Rogers has just announced that the historic church at 1917 Third Street will be the site of the Fifth Annual Church Choir Festival on Saturday, October 6.

The day culminates in a worship service at 3:30 p.m. featuring the combined choirs in a not-to-be missed performance for lovers of choral music.

Choirs from the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church, Lafayette; First Congregational Church, Santa Cruz; and First Methodist Church, Napa, will join St. Mary's choir in the day of choral music clinics featuring one of the top university choral conductors in the nation, Dr. Geoffrey Boers, of the University of Washington.

Dr. Boers will lead practice, offer critiques and conduct performances by the individual choirs throughout the day from 8 to 3 p.m. Visitors are welcome to (quietly) stop by to listen to practice sessions as well as to attend the 3:30 p.m. massed choir performance. There is no charge.
