Are You Corny? New Napa Valley Cornhole Tournament is Saturday

Napa Active 20-30 Club start new event at Napa Valley Expo.

A new fall event, The Napa Valley Cornhole Tournament, will debut Saturday at the Napa Valley Expo.

Napa 20-30 Club, event creators, will donate a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley, said Julianna Landrum, the event’s co-chair.

“With this new, family-friendly event, we are hoping to establish a fun-filled annual tradition for families throughout the Valley,”  she added.  "Also known as Corn Toss, Bags, or Soft Horseshoes, Cornhole has grown in popularity over recent years."

This year’s event will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 12th at the Napa Valley Expo. Tickets and registration can be accessed online at www.napaactive2030.org.

Landrum said the new event will continue in the tradition of the Active 20-30 Club of Napa.

The club does a number of annual hands-on projects that benefit local children, including an Easter Egg Hunt at Kennedy Park, Kids’ Day with Cope Family Center, George Carl Kids Fishing Derby, Town & Country Fair Parade, and Project Santa.

“The support we get for this tournament will allow us to continue to give back to the children in our community,” said Landrum.
