Who Let The Dogs Out? Napa Rallies For Helpful Animal Programs

Hundreds of dogs and their owners hit downtown Napa on Sunday for the 2nd annual Walk For Animals fundraiser to benefit Napa Humane.

More than 200 dogs and some 500 people assembled in downtown Napa on Sunday morning for the second annual Walk for Animals celebration to aid Napa Humane.

“It’s a party and we’ve gone to the dogs down here in downtown Napa and we’re taking it to the streets,” said Jane Albert, executive director of Napa Humane. “We’re actually walking in the streets this year and it’s going to be just a massive amount of dogs and people taking part.”

Thanks to the community in Napa County, Napa Humane was able to raise more than $60,000 in donations to go towards pet vaccinations, spay-and-neuter programs and mobile adoption services among others.

“This event means the world to Napa Humane,” said Albert. “It’s a great community event and a good opportunity for people to come together and stand shoulder to shoulder in support of animals in our community.”
