Earth Day celebrants will discover nearly 100 environmental exhibitor booths featuring products, services, games, and fun children’s activities.

The Veterans Park stage will host an all-day lineup of entertainment for the whole family, including drummers, dancers, and local bands C.R. Vibes and the Johnny Smith Group.

The event is free to the public. Food, wine, and beer will be offered by local vendors.

Napa Valley Earth Day events are also happening:

--In Calistoga, Pioneer Park (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and at the E-waste colllection site at Calistoga Community Pool (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.). A citywide yard sale will also be held April 20-21.

--In St. Helena, an E-waste collection and confidential record shredding will be held 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. next to the St. Helena Fire Station (enter on Railroad Avenue).

Earth Day beverage sales fund field trip bus grants offered every year by the Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County, the event host.

One beverage that will not be available for sale is bottled water. However, attendees can fill up their own reusable bottles at the “Water Bar” on Main Street, sponsored by the Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District.

A limited number of reusable bottles will be available on site. Earth Day strives to be a Zero Waste Event, and to minimize transportation impacts, even offers free valet bike parking sponsored by the Napa County Bicycle Coalition.

With the theme of “Building Awareness, Inspiring Change,” Earth Day 2013 also offers additional opportunities to participate.

Immediately preceding the Earth Day Celebration itself, the 8th Annual Community Earth Day Cleanup includes five sites needing volunteers from 9 to 11 a.m. Visit www.naparcd.org for details.

Earth Day 2013 is an event for every member of the family to enjoy –except one. Please, no pets. In order to offer food, the City requires that animals not be allowed at this event.

Napa’s annual Earth Day Celebration would not be possible without the generous support of its sponsors. Deserving special thanks this year are Presenting Sponsor - the and Sustaining Sponsors - the Napa Green Certified Winery and Certified Land programs.
